Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy
In order to be in good standing, students must maintain the following:
- Overall grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.0. This means at least a "C" average
- Overall Completion Rate of at least 66.67%. This means that of all the credits you take, you must complete 66.67%. W, F, NC, FN, and I grades count negatively towards completion rate.
Students who fail to meet the satisfactory academic requirements after one term will be on an Academic Warning. Failure to complete the requirements while on Academic Warning will result in the student receiving an Academic Suspension.
Attendance
Instructors may enter a last date of attendance (LDA) or a “no show” if you aren’t attending courses. This also applies to online classes.
Please note:
- If you do not log into D2L the first week of your online course, your instructor will drop you.
- Instructors may require that you log in on the first day of class to prove your intent to continue in the course.
- If you never log into your class, your instructor will issue a "FN" for your grade.
- If you've been attending class, then stop, your instructor will issue a "FW" for your grade.
- If you receive an "FN" or "FW", this is like an "F" on your transcript and will affect your completion rate and GPA. Additionally:
- You will no loner have access to that class in D2L
- You will not be able to withdraw from that class in your eServices
If you are making changes to your own schedule, please reach out to your PSEO Coordinator so that they can help you through it.
