Textbook Lending
The library carries many of Hennepin Tech's current course textbooks. These books may be checked out for 4-hours.
While you are welcome to take these to class or other areas within the building, you may not take them off-campus. Late returns are subject to fines.
To see if the library carries your current course textbook:
- Select the Textbook tab under Library OneSearch on the library web page.
- In the search box, type your textbook title or the 4-digit course designator for your course (example: CCIS)
- One the side of your search results, use the course number or instructor name to narrow in on the exact course.
For more information on checking out textbooks, please see the Amenity Item Checkout section in the Policies section of the About Library page.
Laptop Lending
The library lends laptops to current Hennepin Tech students in good library standing. Laptops are first come, first served and may be checked out for a semester. Laptops cannot be renewed. Late returns are subject to fines. To request a laptop, please fill out the request form on the Request a Laptop to Borrow page at the top of the library's homepage.
For information on checking out these items, please reference the Policies section of the About Library page.
Interlibrary Loan
If the Hennepin Tech Library does not carry a resource you need or would like to use, simply submit an Interlibrary Loan request; and we will request to borrow the item from a library that does have it. Articles will typically be emailed directly to you, while books will be shipped to the library and you will be notified when they are available.
Interlibrary Loan requests can be created through a database search or via your Library Account. You can also complete this form:
